| Re: Paranoid???
I answered your other post as well. You are protected. Like I said before since your are a first day starter you are protected right away, because you started on your period. Read the insert that comes with the pills. It tells you everything you need to know. Here is exactly what it says, "Day 1 Start, You will not need to use a back-up method of birth control, since you are starting the pill at the beginning of your period." If you're that paranoid though maybe you should continue using condoms until you feel ready to have unprotected sex. As long as you take your pills as directed though you are protected against becoming pregnant.
If it helps you to know, I had unprotected sex right after I started yaz (7 days to be exact) over 6 months ago, and I did not become pregnant. I wasn't paranoid though and I was emotionally ready to have unprotected sex with my man. Bottom line is if you don't feel comfortable having unprotected sex yet, then don't have it, but your pills are 99% effective in protecting you against becoming pregnant.
