Concerned... possible false negative - Birth Control Message Board

I'm new here and I'm not even sure I'm on the right board but I'm hoping I am. Let me stat with the background - I am not on the pill but have been using vaginal birth control film for a while now and my periods have never been on a normal schedule. Once I became sexually active with the man I've been seeing I created an ovulation calender to keep track of my fertile time. It has been 37 days since my last period and I don't seem to show any signs of starting. I have taken 3 home pregnancy tests (2 different brand names) in the past few days and they have all come back negative. For the past 2 weeks I have been having issues with my feet swelling, my calves cramping, being nauseated and having dirahea... is it possible to be pregnant and miscarry but still have the fetus inside you and could that be what is making me so sick?

I don't have health insurance for another week (just started a new job) but am getting worried here. I've never given the time between my periods much thought before because I am so irregular could be just the heat causing the swelling and some kind of virus causing the other stuff but I wanted to know if anyone out there has ever experienced anything like this.... Your help and feedback is greatly appreciated!!

anything is always possible, but more than likely your body is just going through something that is causing you the problems you are having. if you have taken 2 pregnancy tests and both come back negative then you more than likely aren't pregnant, however, it is possible...i used to work in a ob/gyno office and have seen it happen before, and everyone's body is different. i've known people to take urine pregnancy tests that show they are not pregnant but take a blood test and it come up positive. the best thing to do would just be to stick it out until you get your health insurance and make an appointment with a gyno asap - you definitely need something besides vaginal foams/films for bc if you are having sex. you don't have much longer before insurance picks up to have to worry about it, however you could always possibly see someone at a health department if it is really a concern or you can't wait it out for a few more days. good luck!
