Alesse/Have to be a SUNDAY start?

Hi,

My doctor prescribed Alesse as a method of birth control for me. This is my first time on the pill and I had a question.

The package suggests a "Sunday start", to start taking the pill on the Sunday after your period. I started my period last Monday, but I was on vacation and couldn't get a hold of the pill until today (the MONDAY after my period). Is it ok to have a "Monday start" (start on the Monday after your period) instead of a "Sunday start"?

Thanks for any help!

Yes its okay, but you have to take both sunday and monday.... if you are more then 3 days behind, wait until your next period to start the pack

Providing you have not had unprotected sex it should be fine. You will not be protected for the first seven days. Sunday starting is just to make it easier for remembering to take your pill, not for any other reason.
