Nortrel Vs. Necon - Birth Control Message Board

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here, and just have a question about my BC and was hoping someone could help. I've been on Nortrel 1/35 for 8 months now, and today when I went to pick up my refill they gave me 1/35 Necon, I realize they're both the same thing, just two generic names - but could there still be a difference? The regular pharmacist wasn't there, so I couldnt ask why they changed it, but I'm due to start a new pack tomorrow - but I'm wondering if I should wait, and ask for the Nortrel. I don't want to risk any sudden side effects, since I seem to have no problems with the Nortrel other than fatigue which I always have anyway.

was this question ever answered? i actually have the same problem! Accept the other way around - (i was on necon and now they gave me nortrel) and i am supposed to start the new pack in 2 days. Please let me know if this question was ever answered, or if anyone has advice. thank you!

I'm hoping someone will respond to this question. I've had major sleep issues since switching from Nortrel to Necon. I made the switch 9 months ago and just put the connection together today. I'd like to know the exact differences between Nortrel and Necon as I feel this has affected my sleep patterns (averaging about 2 hours of sleep per night for the past 9 months).
