| Any options left? Weight gain, Loestrin v. Seasonale? Anything else?
I have to be on the pill because of a hormonal imbalance, so I don't have to option to bail out. But I'm getting increasingly desperate.
I had to go off the patch and the ring because they were messing with my insulin resistance, which is a side effect of bc. I also can't take Yasmin because it causes terrible nervousess (I'm very sensitive to side effects). So I was thrilled when I went on Loestrin and my blood sugar didn't go nuts on me.
Until I started having the OTHER side effects: terrible weight gain (more than 20 lbs in 9 months, and I'm short), including weight gain on the waist, which I never had, enlarged and painful breasts, extreme bloating (I'm not functional at times, and nothing works), and depression.
I desperately want off it, but I don't think there's anything left except for Seasonale, which my doctor prescribed just last week. But I just read up on the comments and it seems like people gain a lot of weight and also get depressed on it. So which works better for most of you who tried? Loestrin or Seasonale? Or is there anything else left?
I know it's very much a personal reaction and no one has miracle answers, but any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm really at my wits' ends. Thanks.
