Red face Didn't take out nuvaring on time...need advice!

Hey guys,
I've been using the nuvaring for about 2 months, and this month I forgot to take it out. I'm more than a week past when it's supposed to come out and I've had unprotected sex more than a couple times since then as well. For the last week or so my boobs have been really really tender, im bloated and constipated and getting carsick...all things that my mother says are symptoms of pregnancy. The home test gave me a negative, but I'm worried that if I am pregnant it's too soon for the home test to tell. Should I go to the doctor?

If you read the pamphlet that comes with each nuvaring it has a few answers and one of them is that if you have forgotten to take out your ring for MORE than a day you should definitly consult your doctor! As well you should take it easy in case you are or you think you might be pregnant!!!

Ok this is just my opinon but I am on the ring and i mean i dont take my ring out on the exact timing as i am supposed to. Anyway if you still had the ring in you for a whole week it would increase the chances of your pregnancy... the only thing is i wouldnt have waited to have an off week i would have just put it in the time i am supposed to. Which means you may skip your period. If you kept it in a week late and then waited another week then i would be worried because the hormone levels will have definately gone down.

The insert on the package actually says you can leave the ring in for an extra week as it has enough stuff in it to last that long. However, if you went beyond that...then its very possible that you could have gotten pregnant.

Also, you should really make sure you put it in and take it out when you're supposed to. I have a thread in this section called "18 day period"... A few months back, I took my ring out a day late and then the next month I put it in a day early... the next cycle I got... never stopped. I have been on my period since November 25th. A few weeks ago I had to remove my Ring completely and wait for my body to go back to normal. I believe my period is finally stopping.
