question about the morning after pill - Birth Control Message Board

ok i am new at all of this and i need some help please. my boyfriend and i are very careful when it comes to havin sex, a week and a couple days ago we had a unplanned night and we ended up havin sex without protection and i am not on birth control.

the next day i took the morning after pill about 14 hours after the accident, and now i am bleedin but it is not my period is this normal??

That sounds like it should be normal.

The morning after pill is a pretty high dose of hormones and it can definitely mess up your cycle. I even think that particular side effect is listed on the pack but I'm not positive. There have been lots of posts about it anyway. Don't worry about it.
