Stopped pill, no period yet. - Birth Control Message Board

I've stopped taking the mini pill three weeks ago I was on it for 4 years. Im just wondering if I should have had a period after stopping it. I always had regular periods on and off the pill. I was due my period one week after stopping the pill. Maybe it will take a few months for my cycle to go back to normal??

I was on the pill for about two years and got off about a year ago. my period still hasnt returned to normal and my face broke out in bad acne in about february. It has gotten better now but it has left some marks. good luck

If you had irregular periods before BC you may still have irregular periods after. The break-outs sometimes get worse after going off BC too. Bite the bullet and take a pregnancy test. If its positive, you have more time to figure out what you will do. If its negative, you can take a deep breath and quit having unprotected sex. If you and your boyfriend are still going to be sexually active, you need to protect yourself.

the effects of coming off the pill all depend on the individual and how their body copes with it. i know heaps of people that had regular periods after and no breakouts. i also know 2 people that fell pregnant 2 months after coming off the pill (which was a planned pregnancy). so dont freak out too much because you wont know untill you do it
