Taking YAZ continuously and having period! - Birth Control Message Board

I've been taking Yaz continuously to avoid having periods but I'm having one right now. Just two weeks ago I "let" my body have a period by taking the reminder pills. Although I've taken a pill everyday from my current pack, it hasn't been at the exact (or near to) times each day. Could this be the culprit? Also, do you think it is a full period or BTB? I am going to visit my boyfriend in 4 days and would hate to still have it by then! Thanks!

I've tried the same thing with my bcp. I have found that I can only go one month without having a period. If I try any longer than that I get spotting that lasts forever (at least it feels that way). I ended up just stopping my pills and have my period.
I now take 1 pack, skip the reminders, take the next pack and have a period. 6 periods a years is better than 12!!
