I'm on the pill. I was approaching my withdrawl bleed but i decided to skip it and continue with the active pills in the next packet because of a special event. Instead of taking all the active pills in the packet and just waiting to get to the placebo pills in that packet, i decided to start taking placebo pills a couple of days after i was originally meant to. I still havn't got my withdrawl bleed and i'm quite worried. Has anybody else ever experienced this problem? Should i expect my period?

What pill are you on? Let me make sure I got this right... so pretty much you did not SKIP any pills, you just took pills from the next pack instead of the placebo pills to delay your period and then took the palcebo pills a little later than usual?

I have done this before and it's fine to do! I do this for special events too. Then my next month's cycle is a little shorter. I either do this or skip the placebo pills altogether, which is safe. However, I am on Yasmin, and every active pill is the same. If your active pills all have the same doses of hormones, you should be okay. If you are on one (like ortho tri-cyclen) that has different doses, I'm not sure if it works the same way.
