iud marina
i have the marina for 4 years now. at first i get my period once every 2 months,but now is very often and when i do its dark brown like my period was about to end and it only last for a day. Is that normal? Also, I noticed that when I have sex with my partner i always bleed heavy and cramps. Is that normal?

Hi - I have the Mirena and have had it for one year. At first I got me period every month or so and it was lighter and shorter. Then after 5 months my period went away completely. The old blood is probably just the last of your lining - at least that's what mine was. But I only had it for one month. It can't hurt checking with your OBGYN. You could have an infection.
