how do I know if I have a blood clot?
I have a lump on the inside of my butt and it is rather painfull (probually because I sit on it). I am concerned about it. At first I thought it was hemorides but I no longer think that is the case. I have had this for about 2 weeks and the swalling is just starting to go down. I am concerned could this be a blood clot????
I am not on the pill, but I do take the depo shot and I do not smoke.
There is no pain or swalling in my leg, the spot is not red, it is a purpleish color and it does not leave a dent when I touch it????
Any thoughts???

its sounds like just a bad bruise. i know thats what mine are like ( i bruise easily). do you remember hiting that spot recently?

I have not hit this area, it is in a complicanted spot. I don't think that it is a browse because it does hurt to touch. I think that it is just irritated from sitting on it. But I don't know what to think of the lump, it was hard but it is getting softer and it has been there for about 2 weeks???

maybe its an ingrown hair. Everyone has hair even on their butt. If its getting smaller thats probably what it is. its running its course. If it was a blood clot I think you would end up having difficulty breathing and other problems.

I have been to doctor and they seem to think that it is a cist. Thank you for all your thoughts
