On Yaz, no period? - Birth Control Message Board

Help! I have been on Yaz BC for probably 6-7 months now. My periods seem to have been getting progressively lighter and lighter each month but this month I have not gotten a period at all! I'm about 3 days late! I've had cramping and a little discharge but that's it!

Is this common on Yaz? I'm worried that i'm pregnant but I took a test and it was negative. I have some symptoms of pregnancy but then again they are PMS symptoms too!

DH and I plan to TTC in the summer but i'm REALLY hoping it hasn't happened yet because we are going to Hawaii at the end of this month and i'm maid of honor in my friends wedding in exactly 9 months!!!! EEK!

Any similar experiences on Yaz?

I have been on Yaz for 2 years now. My period does not start until about the third or third white pill and they are very light, mostly just spotting. Sometimes I would have cramps for days and then I would get my period. I think what you are experiencing with Yaz is probably normal, but I would still go to doctor to see if you are pregnant.

It's very common for your periods to get lighter on the pill, but I'd double check with your doctor about no periods at all. I know some birth control methods, like the shot, can make your periods disappear. I haven't had mine disappear completely from the pill, but I'm sure it is possible. Just stay calm and don't stress and see your doctor when you can to make sure everything is going well.
