Hi Everybody,

I have a question to ask. I've been on the pill for 2 years now, and I've been on 2 different kinds of the pill. Anyway the birth control pill that I am on is called: Enpresse. I've been on Enpresse for 4 months now, and I feel that it is not working for me. I have been getting my periods too early when I am still taking the green ones. Also I don't get my period when I am taking the white ones. Also when I get my period's, it last for a week, and it gets really heavy. Should I call my GYN and tell him that the birth control pill that I am on is not working for me? What should I do?

Somebody please help me.

Hi Sari, you really need to talk to your doctors office...call and speak to his nurse if you cant talk to him...ask her to talk to the doctor and tell you what to do- if the pill isnt working, your risking pregnancy...and if this is just a symtom of this particular pill then maybe its not the right one for you.

Thanks for the advice, I will call my doctor and let him know about what is going on.

I called my GYN yesterday, and he told me that what I am doing is right with my pill. I told him that I have been getting my period when I am still on the green pills, and he said that I am supposed to get my period when I am taking the green pills. He said that the green pills have nothing in them. Also I told him that I don't get my period when
I am on the white pills, and he said that I am not supposed to get my period when I am taking the white pills. Also he said that my periods should be getting lighter everytime I get it. He said that in 6 months, my periods should alot lighter from taking the pill.

So now I feel better, and he said that I did the right thing by calling him. Also he said that if my periods last longer than 5 days, I need to call him. So I guess the pill is working, I just hope that my periods will get lighter.

I just thought that I should let everybody know on this board about what my GYN said.
