No, you need to wait until your period starts before you can start taking it. This is when your hormone levels are at their lowest. It's very important to not take it until then otherwise you'll really mess up your hormones. You can start it one of two ways: Start taking it on the first day of your period (Day 1 start) or start it the Sunday after your period starts (Sunday start). If you choose the Sunday start, make sure that you use a backup method of birth control for the first seven days or else you won't be protected from pregnancy. If you choose the Day 1 start, though, you're protected right away from pregnancy. For maximum protection, be sure to take your pills correctly and on time every day.
