Ok, I've been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for about 2 years. I was wondering how many pills of a new pack should be taken before having sex again?
Should I be ok if I've only taken 2?

Hi Ladybird,

If you take the pill everyday except for when you have your period, (the week off), You should be able to have intercourse whenever you want. That is what the pill is for.

I have been taking birth control for years now and take my pill everyday as should be done, I have intercourse all the time and have never gotten pregnant.

Unless you have skipped days in between for forgetting to take the pill, then NO, do not have intercourse as you will get pregnant.

I hope I have cleared that up.

I thought that when you take that week off for your period, you have to start all over again because it leaves you system.
So your saying that it works right away?
