Re: how long can it take your body to adjust after birth control

I am not sure I understand the question-do you mean how long does it take your body to adjust to birth control or how long does it take your body to adjust after getting off of birth control?

I feel that it really takes about 6months to adjust to your body. You of course are safe and protected from pregnancy quicker but the side effects get better gradually and that's why I think 6 months is about right. I feel the same is true for getting off too.

I've been on several different brands of pill and from my experience, if I have nasty side effects after 3 months, I get off because they just continue. I've even had some brands [OrthoCyclen and Leena to be exact] that gave me no side effects until after 4 months. Then it's like BOOOOM! Mood swings and anxiety and anger out the wazoo. You will know if you don't feel right on these pills, but atleast give it 3 months
