can my rash be caused by the nuvaring? - Birth Control Message Board

I used the nuvaring for 3 days but took it out on day 3 because I don't like it. 2 days later I developed a patchy rash on my lower back. Can it be the ring? I also started using 50 mg of natrol's 5-htp off and on for about a week. Also I took the ring out and 4 days later I started bleeding heavy is this normal because I just finished a period.

Everyone reacts differently to Rx.

It took me a while to get adjusted to NuvaRing - but I love it now. I enjoy that it's once a month and also that the dose is so low.

If you are getting a rash and that's the only thing that could have caused it, talk to your doctor.
