I had my left ovary removed due to Grade I Ovarian Cancer. I'm supposed to monitor my cycles etc to make sure my right ovary is functioning well so I rather not go on the pill for a while to observe my own natural cycles.
What would be the best method for contraception? My bf of one year hates condoms (loses errection sometimes when puts them on

)...sometimes he starts intercourse without a condom and puts one on in the middle of it, and certainly before ejaculation. I've heard online that there MIGHT be a small amount of sperm in pre-*** (I make sure he pees before!), so I rather not risk getting pregnant. Recently I bought spermicide films (square films you insert into the vagina 15mins before intercourse and they dissolve inside). I haven't used it yet but I figured it'd be more safe to have that inside of me while we have sex, and then he could put on a condom after a while...win win situation?!!
Any other advice? Would you recommend me going on the pill instead? What type of pill would be better in my case and are my chances of getting pregnant the same as someone with 2ovaries? I'm 28yrs old, and in a steady relationship. In case of abortion, would I have more side effects than someone with 2 ovaries?
Thanks so much for your reply
