Anyone been on Desogen? - Birth Control Message Board

I'm looking for a birh control pill that helps with acne... I've been on ortho tri cyclen lo for 4 months but i stopped because it made me gain weight especially on my stomach. it didn't really help with my acne either.
my acne isn't severe at all, it's mild. but when i got off the birth control pill it made my face go crazy. it's getting better now, but i wanted it to really get clear. and plus, i'm sexually active.... and i've heard alot about desogen so i wanted to know how it is.. please tell me your experiences! good and bad!

oh and does planned parenthood give out Desogen, or do i have to go to my doctor?

I was on Desogen and I hated it. Not only did it mess with my moods in a very negative way but my sex drive was zero. I was also having way too much spotting. I stayed on it for about 7 months but I finally had enough and switched to something else. I didn't like it at all. But I suppose it works differently for different people. However, I have read many negative stories from many women who have tried it and they didn't like it either.

I was on it for only a month and it killed my libido as well. That's the only side effect I had, though.
