| Acne after stopping BC - when's it going to end!
I had mild acne in highschool and started BC (Trifeme 28 - which isn't specifically for acne) when I was 17 years old. This cleared my skin beautifully and apart from the odd pimple, I never thought twice about my skin. Since stopping BC 4 months ago, my skin got really oily and I broke out in acne all over my forehead (tiny red bumps), my chest, back and a couple on my nose and cheeks. I immediately started back on BC (Yasmin - recommended for skin) and after 2 months have only seen mild improvement. My acne is only mild - moderate. but I'm just wondering if it's ever going to go! My chest is completely clear now, and my back is beginning to come right, but my forehead is still pimply (although no new ones there). Should Yasmin have been doing more by now, or is it normal for BC to take 3 - 6mnths to kick in? My oily skin is 100% gone, but don't know why the pimples aren't following? Would love to hear from people who have had the same thing happen, and their skin completely recovered!!
