I don't know where people got the idea that it ABSOLUTELY HAS TO make your periods lighter and shorter. Just like everything else with the pill, it does for some, not for others. I have read that not all women respond to the pill that way. I still had really painful cramps on the pill and I had a ton of other problems on the pill which is why I finally decided to quit. It wasn't worth it to me to stay on. |
Agreed. Everyone's body is different and responds differently to each pill. So the amount of time a period lasts for one woman is not going to be the same for the next. I don't get why people don't seem to understand that.
Pills also don't lighten periods for everyone... and, like I said, it's different with each pill. When I was on OTC Lo my periods lasted for about 5 days or so, and I still got cramps, back pain, horrible PMS, etc.
Now I'm on Necon and my periods last about 4 days, no cramps, no back pain, and definitely no PMS and moodswings.
