MY wife had essure done, about 3 yrs ago, and today weve found out she is pregant.
we already have 3 children, and didnt plan or want anymore.
my question is, has any1 had the same thing happen to them, and what legalities do we have, we are not in a postion to afford another baby, and considering she had essure to prevent such a thing, am angry that it has failed. who do i speak to first ?, doctor who implanted the essure, or essure themselves at to a possible faulty product, or misplaced essure postioning.
I doubt you have any kind of legal case because no BC is 100%. With that said, it wouldn't hold up to try legal action. If they made a BC and advertised that it was 100% affective against pregnancy then you would be able to do something about it. The fine print may say 1 in 1000 people and you have to always remember that you COULD be that 1 person. I'm so sorry that this happened to you both. Life has a tendant to throw us curve balls like this but you will get through it. Make an appointment and talk to your doctor about it. Good luck with everything.
After the birth of my 4th child I didn't want anymore. I was going to have the Essure done but the paper work came in with it and it was nothing like my Dr discussed with me.
He did tell me I better make sure that this is what I wanted because once it is done you will NEVER be able to have a baby again. Now, I know that you have to use a different method of birth control for the first 3 months and after the dye is put in if everything is blocked your good to go.
Im in SHOCK that after 3 years that this has happened.........the scarring should certainly be complete by now. They told me its the best out there, better than getting your tubes tied.
Is your wifes pregnancy viable? Where its in the uterus and not an ectopic pregnancy.

I just wanted to let u know that I had the essure done about 2 years ago and I had 1 of the spring things they put in your tube fall out so now I have 1 tube closed and 1 tube open so i can get pregnant again if I wanted but I got it done so I couldn't. I'm not sure if you can sue them or not I would call the company and see what you can do.

the baby is in uterus and she is 12 weeks pregnant and doctors are shocked and nobody seems to no anything,she asked will they do damage to her are the baby like cut somewere but no one nos very frightening for us both especially her.she had threatened miscarriage on wed but seems to be okay now
