I don't think you'll be protected against pregnancy if you stop taking them in the middle of the pack. As it is, if you quit at the end of your pack, it's very possible to be super fertile if you don't start with another active pack after a placebo break. Some women get pregnant immediately before their next period when they quit the pill because they started ovulating again really soon.
I would advise against quitting in the middle of the pack. In addition to what I mentioned, as the previous poster stated, you run the risk of messing up your cycle.
Besides, I didn't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to wait until this pack is done. It's not like it's for a good reason. Finish the pack and then make sure you use protection like a condom if you don't want to get pregnant.
