| Emergency contraception
Hi all! I had a bit of a mishap last night and got the emergency contraceptive pill today. I was due on today but wanted to be on the safe side. By the time I got home, my period was just starting to happen but I took the pill anyway as a precaution. My question is, can taking this just after you've started to come on, actually then stop it for a while? This is what appears to be happening. Is this normal? I'm just wondering if it's anything to do with the hormones in the emergency contraceptive?
