| Advice please, condom broke, taking OCP but also taking antibiotics.
Hi there,
My boyfriend and I had sex last night and unfortunately the condom broke. I take Norimin (contraceptive pill) and skip the sugar pills. Have taken it for about three years. I strongly believe in more than one form of contraceptive for many reasons, this being one of them! The problem is, I am also currently taking an antibiotic, Keflex, for an infected cyst in my chin.
I know that antibiotics can reduce the effectiveness of the Pill, I am unsure though whether I should be concerned that the condom broke and take the Morning After Pill, or if I should just carry on?
Does anyone have any advice? I am planning on speaking to my pharmacist tomorrow (it's 2am here).
Any help would be appreciated.
