Which Form Of BC Should I Go With?

Hi everyone . I'm planning on visiting my boyfriend in October we've been in a long distance relationship for 4 years and i'll be there for about 3-4 weeks. I was going to get the Depo but reading about all the side effects is turning me away (Already got the prescription but thinking of chucking it in the garbage). I'm 23 years old so I know all about sex and it's consequences. Was wondering what would be the best form of BC to go with since i'm not sexually active unless visiting my boyfriend. In other words, what would be the best form to go with if i'm only planning on preventing pregnancy for about 3 weeks or so and one that won't diminish my sex drive?

I think getting on the pill is your best bet. Even though you don't see him often, doesn't mean that you shouldn't protect yourself, and it'd make it easier for you when you go see him anyways, so you aren't having to come up with a way to protect yourself each time.

If not, than obviously condoms.

I'm actually doing extensive research on Implanon if my insurance will cover it. Lasts for 3 years so I wouldn't have much to worry about I'm planning on moving in with him within a year. Anyone been on Implanon before?
