I am glad to be off the percs. They have been apart of my life for about 8 or 9 years. I have been able to taper off before, but always went back. To be honest, there are some things that I miss about them--mostly the energy. But it is so wonderful not to be constipated. It also a relief that I don't have to worry about running out, having to count and recount my pills all month. My husband took them too, and I gave him his cut each day, and he always wanted more by evening. We always ran out early....

My last update in January, I seen my doctor on the 18/01/2013 and he advised me to get out of the boot and start trying to walk as normal (with the screws still in my foot) and I have been doing so since. I have found some shoes that seem to work really well with my foot and also walking bare foot seems to be the most comfortable for me. A Revelation(of sorts)

Posted 03-10-2013 at 08:18 AM by Phoenix (Getting Out Of A Funk)

It's been a while since I posted here and there's so much to be said but i'll keep this concise and to the point.
I've finally found something that makes sense to me and not one of my family members is behind me in my endeavor.
I'm told i'll lose money and am tired of the constant:"be careful" along with offering me their own advice.
What I need to do,for me,is to venture out on my own and do what I feel comfortable enough doing.
Nothing ventured,nothing gained....
