The preparation has begun.
As of right now my symptoms have seemed to steadily get worse. I'm now starting to experience pain on my left side as well as the right. Muscle spasms are the worst for me, other that the nerve pain. I have also started experiencing tingling in my lips, It's the oddest feeling. I had just gotten use to tingling in both arms, then over the weekend the spasms started, and yesterday I noticed my lips had started tingling.
Any who , so I have done tons of reading upon what to expect when recovering from ACDF surgery. So I have been deep cleaning my house, and Moving everything I will need up to waist level, or as high as I can seeing as I'm 6ft. Also a very important step in preparing for surgery, spending time with my kids. I have taken them to the Pool every day I can. We have a race to see who can get the tannest. Sadly I am loosing by a long shot. My kids are naturally tan and I'm ultraviolet white so yea not gonna win that one. My kids love it though.
Over the weekend it started raining causing my ankle to scream in pain. I of course, being an armature meteorologist, knew the rain was coming a week before. My ankle lets me know by the unrelenting pain that even my meds don't help.
So I lay here this morning spasming like crazy due to overdoing it yesterday. I know I know, I should know better. It is so hard to not do when being a home maker, babysitting, and preparing for being out of commission for at least 3 months. With the kids out of school it's like taking 5 steps forward and 3 back everyday, little monsters.
I have experienced a bit of anxiety every now and again. I know I have made the right decision for my situation, but it doesn't take my fear away, one bit. I have 11 days and counting until D day!
Well I have a house to finish preparing and kids to drive me nuts! Happy healing! Wishing you all a pain free day!( in my mind I said that like they did in hunger games lol)
