I am now 6 weeks post op. I had an anterior incision for a two level lumbar disc fusion with corpectomy. Overall I feel fine. My incision is completely healed and I'm applying bio oil. My abdomen still feels a little bruised but only when I lay a certain way. My back is healing nicely, still tough to sit from laying, and standing from lower positions is difficult but also expected due to time frame. My next appointment is day after tomorrow, then I will see about physical therapy and progress, also...

waiting to get my medication

Good morning, well I didn't get my medication delivered on time, the Meloxicam n Flexerill, although they r nothing compared to what I'm used to taking. I wish I could have asked for tramadol, a pill that works like morphine in the brain. All I can do is the best I can, until I get the morphine, n even then, I have to only take two per day. I guess I'll take it when the pain is absolutely unbearable. When I go back on the 9th, I'm definitely going to mention the tramadol or ultram.

I try to go swimming at least once a week..and then my Db nurse very helpfully suggests that perhaps...

Well hello strangers !

It's been at least five days from my last post, and a lot has happened. So Monday July 1 my neurosurgeons office called asking me to have my surgery on the 3rd instead of the 12th. The nurse said the doc was really worried and he normally isn't ever like that. So I took it as I better get it done. In July 3 I showed up at the hospital at 4:45 am ready to get this party started.

I woke up from surgery with little to no pain. The first few days...

The preparation has begun.

It's been a few days since I last posted. I have started preparing for post surgery life. As well as still dealing with my neck, and all its fun symptoms.

As of right now my symptoms have seemed to steadily get worse. I'm now starting to experience pain on my left side as well as the right. Muscle spasms are the worst for me, other that the nerve pain. I have also started experiencing tingling in my lips, It's the oddest feeling. I had just gotten use to tingling in both arms, then...
