If you are a woman of a certain age, your doctor has probably talked to you about osteoporosis. If he hasn’t, then you have probably noticed all of the television ads, including the one featuring Sally Field, about osteoporosis treatment and the drugs they use to manage the disease.

Dear Diary: My Talar Microfracture Experience

Surgery September 20, 2010
R ankle Arthroscopy, debridement and microfracture of the Talus.

Post op day 1: Felt very well most of the day. Wearing a MaxTrax boot. Rented a "Knee Walker" to help avoid using crutches. Only took 2 percocets all day. Took off the bandages and the ankle looks pretty good. Not much swelling. Wiggling the toes a bit. Spent most of the day out at a funeral, tried to keep the leg up as much as possible. Experienced some throbbing...
