Just an account of a taper a relapse and then a cold turkey withdrawal. I have been on percocet 10/325 15 mg every 5 hours since 2004, plus got higher on them. I have tapered off once and cold turkey once. The percocet gave me so much energy, and a feeling of euphoria (I love that word)I needed it for pain a sometimes. The best word for detox is hell. The best word for 2 weeks after detox is melancholy (also a great word, just fits). And the best word for good clean abstinence is reality. God I pray that I have gone through the hardest part of this cold turkey. I didn't have time to taper, and honestly, I was tired of the addiction. I took 15 mg every 5 hours, plus what I would get high on, which was getting more and more often and then I would have to taper way down and feel crummy until my next refill of 180 a month that I would share with my husband. We drink every day plus the tylenol in the percs has to be damaging our livers.
I hope my doctor will continue to see me when the pot shows up in my urine sample. I going to blog some more tomorrow.
