Going Thru a Personal Crisis

Well, I may not be writing for awhile. Although, writing about it is probably what I need to do. I'm going through a personal crisis, and will be away for awhile. I have been spending my time reading other's blogs and message board posts searching for help.

You know, sometimes, you are going pretty good for awhile, and even start running and start getting up some speed, then - splat- you get hit in the face with a tire iron. I guess life is like that. It takes you by surprise....

Chronic Illness and Getting Things Done!

Posted 09-21-2010 at 09:56 AM by Sunsetnan (Sunsetnan's Blog)

It's getting cooler now. That means more time to work outdoors. Last evening it was cooling off and a gentle breeze blew against my face. I was doing my fall pruning and I stopped to appreciate the nice weather. Of course, that meant that I did more than I should. How could such delight at gardening lead me to such pain the next day? When you have fibromyalgia and are in a flare, this happens quite often.

No, I'm not having the "poor me's." Just stating a fact....

Chronic Illness and Keeping up with the Joneses

How can a chronically ill person keep up with everyone else? This is the question I posed to my husband yesterday. How do even healthy people work full time and yet have time to mow, weed- eat, edge, and blow their lawns, wash their cars, go to their kids games, much less do all the other chores necessary each week?

I have to be truthful here. Although I know I shouldn't, I have to admit I do care what other people think. I want to keep up with the Joneses.

I can't deny it anymore; I'm sick!

Posted 09-03-2010 at 12:04 PM by Sunsetnan (Sunsetnan's Blog)

Well, it seems that I have something going on. Just when I thought that I would be coasting for awhile, I started to feel worse. The kids have been sniffling, sneezing, and nose blowing a little. Not enough so as one to think that they have something contagious. Maybe just allergies. But, then it starts out as a dry throat in the morning. Then, you're spitting out some thick stuff and your tonsils start getting swollen and then red, and you're more tired...

Yep. You can't deny...

School, Driving, Cleanliness, and a Movie Reflection

Posted 08-24-2010 at 10:47 AM by Sunsetnan (Sunsetnan's Blog)
Updated 08-24-2010 at 10:54 AM by Sunsetnan

Had a little mini-vacation at my sister's house for about a week, and am back in time for school to start. Just sent the kids off for their first day. My youngest tried on at least three variations of clothes until he settled on one. And my eldest was disappointed he couldn't wear one of his new pants because the washer didn't get all the "sticky stuff" off from the size sticker on the back.

My eldest is now certified to use his driver's permit after completing the...
