W/D symptoms have eased. I just cannot sleep.

I drank last night and got pretty drunk on a pint of Jack with my husband who is also my best friend. I know in my heart that we aren't going to make it if we don't stop drinking together. That's a hard task to accomplish because we talk the other one into drinking plus it is hard for 2 people to hit bottom together. We are having money problems too, so we can't afford alcohol. God I pray that I have gone through the hardest part of this cold turkey. I didn't have time to taper, and honestly, I was tired of the addiction. I took 15 mg every 5 hours, plus what I would get high on, which was getting more and more often and then I would have to taper way down and feel crummy until my next refill of 180 a month that I would share with my husband. We drink every day plus the tylenol in the percs has to be damaging our livers.

I have stayed off the oxycodone since 9/30/10 with my only side effect being nightmares and vivid dreams and not being able to handle my liquor. I have been drinking and waking up hungover everyday for atleast 5 days--and I drink 2 beers and 2 or 3 mixed drinks. I know in previous posts, I said I was going to quit, I can't. I was cleaning out my purse and found 3 or 4 percs in a bottle. I didn't take any. Yay!!!
I just got home from running errands and taking the dogs to the park. I'm tired but in a good way. It is a beautiful fall day---a great day to be clean and sober. It's time to rest. I didn't call my doc for the liver test but plan to tomorrow.

The only detox side effects that i have had is diarrhia and a little bit of a runny nose. The yawns and the achy brakeys are gone. I even took the dogs for a pretty long walk. I know that the l-tyrosene helped with the blahhs.

It felt weird to not drink and listen to music when my husband got home. He walked in with a 6 pack and I didn't get mad; but i didn't like it either. At some point I AM going to tell him I don't want him to drink anymore. I'm not going to pretend that it's...
