Has any one heard about Antiphopholipid syndrome? It's related to Lupus.

I would love to get chatting to anyone who has this problem or knows someone with it.

I am 6 weeks pregnant, and I have been told that it could affect my pregnancy...I'm very scared.

I am new here. I have antiphospholip antibody syndrome, I've had it for years. I had 2 miscarriages at the 8-9 weeks of pregnancy. I have since gone on to have 3 healthy children (now 11,13 and 15 yrs. old). I came to the board here today because I am looking for answers. My dr. just informed me I tested positive for Lupus. I need to search for answers myself, but if I can help you in any way, just ask.

If your dr. didn't explain it, it's a clotting disorder. There are 2 ways your blood can go. The platelets can stick together and form clots, or you bruise very easily. Depending on which way it goes, your dr. will determine if you need medication. Hope this helps.

One last thing...because you're nearing a time in your pregnancy when miscarriages most commonly occur, I will tell you what my dr. had told me. NO heavy lifting and stay off of your feet for as much as your pregnancy as you can. I know how frightening this is for you. The advice my dr. gave me enabled me to carry all three babies full term, and they were healthy.

dear sampy i too have aps/lupus and miscarriages i have 2 healthy little girls now. did you take any meds during your pregnancies? did you have any complications?
i nearly lost my youngest and i am too scared to risk another, how did you manage 3?
