Hello I am new to this board and could use some advise..I am 32 and eight months pregnant I went for a routine blood work due to the pregnancy and found out my white cells are very high so my OBGYN sent me to a blood specialist to find out what is going on. Well my count went up to 22,000 he put me on Keflex because he believes it due to a kidney infection that I had before I found out I was pregnant. So he put me on keflex and it went down to 19,000. The ultra sound isnt showing anything with the kidney or the urine test they said I need to have a CT scan because it might be outside the kidney instead of the inside. I am really afraid it is luekemia and there just not telling me...would an antibotic bring down the white cells if it was luekemia???? thanks to anyone who can add some input on this for me
