When I was first diagnosed with my DVT, I was in excrusiating pain for about 2 months. But mine was over two feet long in my right leg, and that had a lot to do with it. Depending on where yours is and how big it is, that may have a lot to do with when and how it hurts. I'm almost 6 months in with my clot, and it doesn't hurt as much now. But if I'm on my feet for too long, that plays a big roll, or if I hit my leg. Hope this helps. Good luck to you!
