I've had off and on rectal bleeding for about a year and a half which was recently investigated with a sigmoidoscopy. The doctor said there were a few internal hemorrhoids and nothing else was found. I'll get random little bruises on my forearms from time to time which is strange. I also have been getting these peculiar nosebleeds, happens about once every three or four weeks, that drip down the back of my throat so I'll occasionally spit up blood (they never run down my nose, and are only present when i stick a tissue up my nose). I went to the doctor while I had one and he said is was an anterior (not posterior) nosebleed and there was nothing to worry about, but I did not tell him it was happening as often because that was the first time I had one. The last time I got bloodwork done was about a year and a half ago and everything was fine. Anyone know of anything that it could be?

Do you get red spots on your skin sometimes from shoes or scratching an itch?

You need to get a CBC with platelets test done. Unexplained or easy bruising can be a sign of low platelets. It's not necessarily dangerous, but if it keeps going low, you may need a dr to investigate the cause.

See a dr, tell him about the bruising, and please don't minimize the symptoms. They cannot treat you correctly if they don't have all the facts. If they do investigating and find out you're fine, then you'll be so relieved. Otherwise, you'll keep wondering if you have something terrible going on - that's human nature, and a result of so many scary news programs about health issues.
