Essential Thrombocytosis and Surgery
Hi, I was diagnosed with ET this past Monday and at the present time I am taking 325mg aspirin daily along with the tandem Iron supplement. I am due to have foot surgery June 19th so I have to stop the aspirin 10 days before. I am nervous about that besides which I will be flying home on a long flight from vacation without taking the aspirin which scares me about blood clots. Any thoughts would really be appreciated. Also does ET shorten your life span? You can tell I have just been diagnosed right??
