| My mother has a blood infection but no meds?????
I really hope someone can shed some light on this cause it makes no sense to me...
The other day my mother woke up blind in her left eye. Her specialist told her that she has blood in her eye and that it may have been a minor stroke. My mother already suffers high blood pressure and is on meds for that so it all made sense. He did a blood test and told her to come back in a week so that he could determine whether or not it really was a stroke, and the way he would do that was by looking in the back of her eye.
Yesterday she went to see him, and it turns out that it wasnt a stroke. He told her to see our family doctor for the blood test results. She just got back from that, and she has a blood infection apparently with very thin blood which has caused her eye issue. The doctor advised her that this will go away on its own???? Ive never ever heard of a blood infection going away on its own without assistance.
This makes no sense to me at all and i am worried that she is being misdiagnosed or left untreated with a blood infection that can kill her.
Has anyone experienced this or knows someone who has?
Are there different types of blood infections?
Please help as im terribly worried.
