Unhappy Factor V Leiden and Surgery

I was recently diagnosed with Factor V Leiden and I am going for gallbladder surgery on January 8th. My clinical doctor is sending me to see a hemathologist but he doesn't think that I need to go right away or before the surgery. I am a bit worried. I also had some lab tests results out of range but which I don't understand: my PTT-LA is 43 (normal is up to 40)

Should I insist in seeing the hemathologist prior to the surgery? What does a PTT-LA high level mean?
