How high is high? Depending on how high your numbers are, I would definitely say consulting a hematologist is the best idea to start with. There are also ways to naturally lower your platelet counts. Some foods help aid in lowering platelets.
I came across something called the PDSA (Platelet Disorder Support Association), and scrolled through. OK, on a list of things which reduce platelets were the following, Nos. ONE and TWO: Alcohol and alfalfa sprouts!! Then, on a list of things which reduce clotting: Beer, blueberries, and dark chocolate!!
