Hi faith,

Given that one of the diagnostic clues for polycythemia vera is an increased vitamin B12 binding protein found in blood tests, I'd check with my doc first.

Hi Faith! I'm like Zuzu. I thik U should check with your Hematologist.Seems like I mentioned something to mine about taking a daily vitamin and he said I really shouldn't because components of multiple vitamins build iron and iron builds red blood cells. So;I'm not really sure about the B-12.Being PV we want to stay anemic.I was diagnosed in 2000 and had symtoms back to 1994;but,didn't really know what was wrong with me! Good Luck & God BlessStay on top of the PV!!!!

Randy
