| Re: Blood colour and thickness
are you simply referring to which areas of blood flow are arterial(red) and what are venous(blue)? the 'thickness" of anyones 'normal' blood should be pretty consistant thruout the whole entire body since it all circulates many many many times a day thruout the entire system.blood thickness that is too thick or too thin really would be something not considered normal and would need in most cases, medication to help create the normal again. the venous blood is not oxygenated, that is why it shows as blueish within the veins? there are not red blood cells carrying oxygen in it. while the arterial flow IS oxygenated and going away from the heart to the periphery(down to toes and fingers?). the arteries always carray the "high' pressure blood flow while the veins carry the lower pressure blood flow. thats why an arterial bleed is always much worse than one that is venous. veins tend to ooze blood when injured, while arteries will 'pump".
if you look up info on the bodys 'circulatory system' it should be able to give you the info i think you are looking for. but i do hope this helped. Marcia
