constantly high platelets, low lymphocytes ??
Hi all, I am new here :-)
I have had high platelets for a few years now, not too dramatic, always between 470- 600 (norm at my lab is 150-370). I tend to get anaemic due to heavy periods - at the last routine check up for possible anemia my platelets were still high at 599.
A year ago I went to a specialist about the platelets which were then 461 and found out I also had a very mild relative lymphopenia and a mild absolute lymphopenia . The doctor just said i should continue to monitor my results.
In this most recent blood test I was down to 21% - relative lymphopenia. my neutrophils were otherwise normal but my monocytes were slightly raised at 11% (norm = till 9.5%). My iron values were very very low.
Do I need to worry about the constantly elevated thrombocytes?
What could be the cause of this persistent mild lymphopenia?
is the slight Monocytosis relevant?
Many thanks for any advice,
