Left leg pain

I am a 28 year old female and I have been having pain at the back of my left leg for 3 days now, its mostly at night and then comes back hours after being awake mild and then pretty bad later, I went to the ER last night and they gave me a Ddimer test that they said was normal and since it was no further testing is needed. I am not sure if I have any family history of blood clots, I never had one. I do smoke but not on birth control or anything. Should I just put out of my mind that it could be a blood clot since the test was negative? Its still hurting today. My leg is not red does not really appear swollen but I have big legs so I dont really see a difference. It just hurts... The doctor said he felt my pulses in my foot so he did not think there was a blood clot there but any information would be appreciated.

I have an arrythmia and it often sends me to the ER and the one doc that was there last night already thinks ill of me. I heard her talking about me to the others at the station, made me feel kind of bad so I know she did not take me seriously at all.

A quick way to test yourself with just one other person is to do a Homan's sign test. That is when you flex your foot and have your knee bent, if you feel a pain in your calf when your foot is flexed then that is a positive Homan's sign and you need to go to a MD.
