It's now a blood clots in both legs- ADVICE?
I have been told that I had an occlusion (blood clot) in the popliteal artery (an artery behind the knee) in my right leg. Symptoms were strong pain after walking for a certain distance. Relief only came when I would rest the leg. I went in for an ultrasound of the legs and that is where they found the problem on the right side. I went and saw a vascular surgeon and had a CT scan performed. I was just called yesterday and told that not only is it showing in the right leg, it is also in the left leg, same artery. I go in a week to discuss my options. Does ANYONE have any experience with this? I don't know if it's DVT, or PAD or some other wierd popliteal artery entrapment syndrome. I am 30 years old and have had an aortic valve replacement. ANy feedback would be GREATLY appreciated!
