 Could it be aquired iron overload??
HI, about a year ago i was having problems with low iron hemaglobin and platlets and tablets where not helping get levels up i was 7 months pregnant and me doc wanted them up before baby was born so she gave me iron injections 15 all up in a 2mth period. anyway my iron went up.
Stared feeling bad after baby exhausted again like when i was anemic so went in for test and she said no all fine. found out i had thyroid disease (hypothyroidism) months later on meds for that still feel bad. also got tested for LIVER bc of bowel movement colour and had slighty raised ATL enzimes. Last time i went to docs asked to see last iron results and seen my ferritin and was 288 with range (30-200) doc said thats good .
Did she give me too much iron without waiting for results?? should i worry??
