K9love,
I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties at your doctors appointment. Unfortunately I've come to find out that most doctors have a terrible bedside manner and just drop the diagnosis on you with no explanation whatsoever. It can be very overwhelming, especially when you're not feeling well to take matters into your own hands and figure out what this thing is you have.
But "Sticky Blood" otherwise known as Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome or APS is a blood clotting disorder. It comes in two forms, primary and secondary. I have it and mine is secondary to my lupus. There is a very informative post on the lupus board about APS. It is a permanent post at the too of the board, the fourth one down and it has Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome in the title. It tells you all about the doctor who discovered it, the symptoms, treatments, etc. Also there all also a lot of us with lupus that have APS and I know they would all be more than happy to answer any questions you might have, so feel free to post on our board any time

Good luck to you and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
