| Atypical p-anca
Hi
I have what they call an atypical p-ANCA positive. I am not MPO positive. Which is good, and l have been tested against other antibodies which are also negative, but my p-ANCA is positive. I have seen so many specialists and nobody can tell me why. They say it could be just part of my make up. I have days l feel good and l have days where l feel exhausted but none of my symptoms seem to alarm any doctors and now l just have to wait and see. Has anybody else here have atypical p-ANCA and does anyone know what it can mean apart from vasculitis or bowel diseases?
I also had a low C3, again which they say means nothing.
I don't know why they bother doing blood tests if they mean nothing.
When l google p-ANCA in healthy people l don't get many answers. It on,y states that p-ANCA can be present on healthy people but only a small percentage, like 3% of the general population. Which isn't much at all, so l doubt that l am one of them.
